One of our members, Ozark Natural Foods, is offering FIBA members the chance to display their businesses within ONF. Every two months, ONF allows coop members to submit in-store display ideas that compliment the theme ONF is currently promoting. ONF has graciously extended that opportunity to FIBA. The displays cannot contain items for purchase and must be approved by ONF as consistent with their message as a business.

The upcoming themes are:
April Earth Month
June Take It On the Road
August Coop KIds / Back to School
October Fall Harvest
December Winter / Holiday Season

Please contact ONF directly with your ideas.

Nightbird Books is hosting a local economies book club. This group will be a great way to increase our factual knowledge of an issue that many of us intuitively feel is a good thing.

Plus, the book club has potential to be instrumental in promoting our Fayetteville Independent Business Alliance. At each meeting, we choose a book or two for future reads, so bring suggestions with you.

On April 30, we will be joining another group on to discuss global warming. They are reading The Long Emergency by James Howard Kunstler and Heat by George Monbiot.

FIBA will have office space very soon! As you know, Nightbird Books is moving to 205 W Dickson Street, and we will have enough room there to provide a working area for FIBA.

With a physical location, we hope it will be easier for members to volunteer some time to help
with projects and pick up or drop off materials.
